Gemma Lionello, the former regional manager for more than 20 stores in Nordstrom’s South region, has assumed the role of executive vice president and general merchandise manager of cosmetics at Nordstrom Inc. She takes over the position from Laurie Black, known as a retailer extraordinaire in the U.S. beauty market, who is retiring after 35 years with the department store chain. Lionello has been with the company for 25 years.
